Rothschild12 is an art space best described as a Kunsthalle that exhibits both Israeli and international contemporary art. Our exhibitions attempt to challenge the boundaries of the art discourse while dealing with actual and political themes. Our curatorial approach aims to create an arena of exchange; the spectator becomes not only a participant but also an independent figure who takes responsibility for their choices in terms of movement, interpretation, and the social construction of the space. We attempt to achieve this goal by presenting innovative exhibitions, exchanging exhibitions with international art spaces, cooperating with different organizations both from the local and international art scene, and engaging in discourse on controversial themes. In addition, Rothschild12 encourages and sponsors interdisciplinary activity that deals with the themes of the exhibitions and their interface in other fields such as theatre, cinema and architecture. Every exhibition is accompanied by a catalogue and educational program in which both Israeli and international thinkers take part.Rothschild12 is a part of the non-profit activity of R2M real estate - A private company located in Tel Aviv. The different exhibitions in Rothschild69 take place thanks to cooperation with different organizations such as the New Israeli Fund for Cinema and Television, Outset – Israel Fund, Artis and Private donations. All funds are dedicated to the production of new works designated to be shown at Rothschild12.Rothschild12 is located at the 2nd floor of Rothschild 12 - A music bar and Cafe.
